Training Plan for the Zooma Run Annapolis Half Marathon

26 Jan

I officially registered today for the Zooma Run Annapolis Half Marathon, and if I wasn’t already excited for the race, I’m super pumped now.  Remember earlier in the week when I laid out my own made up training plan?

Well guess what?! I didn’t have to do that, because one of the added bonuses for registering for this race is that THEY GIVE YOU ONE!  And it’s awesome.  Just look at the sign index and first week’s plan:

Yes, they’ve included a coffee cup as a symbol for “bail if you need to” That alone let’s me know that this is the kind of plan for me!  That and the title of the plan is “Finish the Race” because that’s my main goal!

It’s like Zooma knows me already!

Remember to click here:  http://zoomarun.com/annapolis/annapolis-registration/ and use coupon code ANNCON3 to save $10 on the half marathon nad $5 on the 10K.

And by all means, share this code with your girlfriends!  Who’s running it with me?????

I am pretty excited about this race but I am not sure what race to do. I am already running a half in March and May, so I don’t know if I want to do another one in June, but I love the distance! I really like that it comes with a training plan!

Which ones? The Rock N Roll and Maryland? I wanted to do the Rock N Roll but it filled up before I could register. As for Zooma, it’s June 2nd, which is pretty much the end of half marathon season until the Fall rolls around so it’s your last chance to get one in for several months. And if you’re anything like me, I need a race as a goal to motivate me to train. And this one is women only which seems exciting to me.

I am doing Rock N Roll and Fredrick, but since I am still pretty new to racing, I don’t want to burn myself out on to many long distance runs, but like you said its close to the end of half season until the fall.

    Oh the decisions!
